On the steepest and roughest tracks, where the cocktail of stress hormones and endorphins blur your judgement, it is crucial to remain composed. The MAXIMA is developed for this balancing act at your own limit with one goal: pushing the boundaries in terms of braking power and controllability. There is a docile nature to the MAXIMA that may not initially be obvious. The smooth operation of the mechanism ensures a consistently predictable bite point and allows the braking force to be modulated down to the finest degree, maintaining control in even seemingly unrideable sections. This fidelity is crucial to harness the ludicrous power of the Maxima, waiting to be awoken. Its enormous strength results from the hydraulic transmission of the 9mm pump piston to four 16/17mm caliper pistons and the exceptionally high mechanical transmission ratio created by the lever. The exceptionally high mechanical transmission ratio due to the lever geometry minimizes the finger force required even on the steepest chutes. The 7075 aluminum CNC-milled brake calipers with optimized steel yoke bolts ensure high caliper stiffness. In combination with the Goodridge steel flex or Kevlar hoses installed, this results in the enormous rigidity of the overall system, which keeps the power in check. The balance between control and braking power is at your fingertips. So, are you ready to poke the bear?
