We have modified the handlebars to a lower profile V bar for better weight distribution in those more challenging circumstances, and of course added custom-fit knobby tyres to handle the toughest terrain.

From the smooth handling long wheelbase to the ultra-efficient tall wheels, safe braking with a footbrake and two calibrated alloy handbrakes, every single component has been carefully selected. Just 8+kgs.

Design:

Committed to the ultimate off road potential, the E350x1 MTBG is a machine that inspires fun and adventure. While the enemy of kids MTB's is typically sluggish handling and heavy weight, the ByK E350x1 MTBG is seriously light.

Like the entire ByK Range, this is not a scaled down adult bike. Every single component has been considered, tested, custom sized and tuned to suit our rider's profile. Our unique ergonomic riding position and geometry offer a range of riding positions and adjustability unexpected at this size.

We believe for a child to ride comfortably and in the correct position, the saddle should be padded and matching the size of their body - we have done just that with the 350x1 MTBG.

Performance:

With lightweight alloy wheels, we've made pedalling easier; professional bike riders insist on them so why shouldn't our kids too! And the custom-fit knobby tyres are not as fast-rolling as the standard E-350 but they don't need to be. You're buying a mountain bike that can handle the road but handles the rougher terrain even better. At just over 8kgs, the 350x1 MTBG is approximately 30% more efficient than comparative kids bikes.

Safety:

To make a children's bike safe, the rider needs to be able to brake efficiently and confidently. We have used alloy front and rear callipers with light action for superior control and a simple and safe coaster style foot brake. The best of both worlds we believe. The custom-sized V-Brakes we have used are calibrated for age, ability and ergonomic fit. And they are made of non-flexing, strong and light alloy.

Our light weight alloy rims ensure pedalling is easier. But more importantly alloy rims are a more efficient braking surface than cheaper, chrome-plated steel rims, and are therefore safer.
