MIPS: Crash science
MIPS uses a slip-plane system that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the brains natural protection system. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent to potentially slow or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. With a Scientific approach the MIPS system has been proven to reduce the risk and severity of brain injury. In an accident the head rotates quickly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration can cause the brain tissue to experience high levels of strain. The stretching of the tissue that can be caused by these motions can result in various types of brain injury.

Floating Fit system
Float fit is a minimalist, lightweight fit system, with and easy to turn rubber over moulded dial for adjustments. Newly integrated to feature the MIPS system, the rider can be rest assured that they are getting the safety they need without the compromise of fit.
Construction
Fusion in-mould polycarbonate shell a process pioneered by bell, bonds the helmet's outer shell to the eps foam liner to create a sturdier helmet.
