 Specifically engineered for high-intensity training and racing, both indoors and out, the Assos EQUIPE RSR Cycling Bib Shorts Superleger S9 focus on outstanding ventilation and, at just 120grams, extremely lightweight performance.

Taking their outstanding RS and RSR Bib Shorts S9, Assos have made changes to fabrics to maintain the fabulous comfort but deliver extra helpings of ventilation alongside a reduction in weight. For hot summer days spent tackling alpine ascents or the demands of intense indoor training sessions, they're the perfect pick.

With fewer seams used in their construction and the use of ultralight and highly breathable materials, you'll enjoy greater comfort and fresher, cooler leg muscles when the mercury rises. The full-wrap Butterfly panel is carried over from the standard S9s but here super-light Breezer Tex is deployed. This woven fabric has a mesh-like structure, allowing for enhanced airflow inwards and outstanding breathability outwards. 

Other front and rear panels are made in OSSIDIA warp-knit material. This provides a firm compressive hold of your key muscle groups, and thanks to excellent abrasion resistance ensure excellent durability on the saddle. Meanwhile, the bib straps use a lighter elastic, reducing weight and minimising sweat absorption. 

A-Lock Engineering

Assos apply the same S9 A-Lock Engineering for these Superléger shorts. This compromises a two-panel design made into a unique butterfly' panel design, snugly wrapping the legs and back to create a brand new ergoBox structure. This holds the insert securely in place for an incredible feeling of support and frictionless comfort no matter how intense your efforts.

At the waist, raw-cut edges give a smooth transition between body and fabric, ensuring more comfort and less pressure. Raw-cut edges are also utilised at the leg openings, with minimal silicone grippers to keep your shorts in place with minimal weight and pressure. 

S9 SUNDECK Seat Insert

An evolution of the EQUIPE RS insert, the S9 SUNDECK enjoys a reduction in weight for less bulk. Assos' whirlKrater system is also deployed. This uses strategically placed holes throughout the pad to boost airflow, creating a pad that minimises sweat absorption and boosts breathability. 

You'll also have the benefits of the standard RS pad. Shock-absorbing SuperAir microShock foam, in a 3D waffle design, is quick to return to its original form, filling gaps each time you shift weight and change position on the saddle. The waffle design meanwhile, sees the use of three-layer perforated foam to increases breathability and reduce bulk. And with goldenGate technology, the unique design allows a more natural irritation-free movement when pedalling.
